What, don't you got a little bird watching me right now? [Of course he's teasing her. He's noticed her familiars, with that sort of meaningful attention that he hadn't quite understood until a few moments ago. There isn't one on him now, but he'll stick around right here until she finds him.]

[ It's a look she levels at her device and a curious sound he may hear in the instant before she cuts the feed. Something like splitting flesh, but who could tell? It's audible for barely two seconds, then the screen is black.

And he'll hear it before he sees it.

At first, it's just one small, pitch black bird that alights and turns an eye on him. Then another and another until there's a small flock perched above in the shade of the branches and leaves of a nearby tree, hopping and chirping in what many might perceive some ominous way that might seem somehow foreboding when the wind stirs and swells ahead of a certain hanyoukai, a pair of small, elliptical pitch wings beating fast and surprisingly quietly at her back.

The blood's dried, at least.

Her boots touch the ground and she's a whorl of colors, stepping quicker and quicker. She doesn't think twice, pushing off from the ground, her arms outstretched. ]

Lewin!

[The birds gather, and Lewin considers playing with them, trying to lure a couple over before Setsura gets here.

But then there's a swirl of wind, a flash of dark feathers and--]

Took you long enough! [He laughs, as she leaps into his arms.

Sorry, Setsura. He hasn't showered in a while. Or washed his clothes. Or even changed them.

That doesn't quite explain the... scattered black feathers in his hair? Weird.]

You're one to talk.

[ It's muffled and accompanied by a distinct gust of clean, crisp wind encircling them in a bid to cast off and relieve some of that stench. Her nose isn't the sharpest of her senses by far, but even she could pick up that it's been a while; and yet, when she pulls back to look at him, there's some fondness mingling with her exasperation. ]

Lewin-kun, when was the last time you bathed? Or washed your --

[ She stops, mouth slightly agape as her eyes catch sight of those feathers, and her eyes get bigger. Are those...? ]

-- clothes??

[ They are. Those are feathers and they weren't there a moment before and that means -- well, that means -- that means she's reaching up to grab his stubbly face and drag him down so she can kiss his lips and face all over. The fact that she is quite suddenly, literally emitting light from the entirety of her body? Hm. ]

[There's a hot bird kissing him, and it definitely feels like it's been forever since the last time.]

The glowing's new. [He says, when she gives him a second to breathe. It's got to be Kizuna.]

[ Her hands settle on his cheeks, feeling that familiar stubble against her hands. She missed that. She missed him, the feel of him, the warmth of his skin, the sense of him. That light casts a soft glow that makes the pitch of those feathers that much more prominent and she softens. ]

So are your feathers.

[ She slides a hand up to shift, preen his hair, run her fingers along a feather. ]

They suit you.

[His eyes go wide behind the fall of his bangs, and he drops her, both of his hands going to his hair and feeling for feathers.

Feathers located, he plucks one to look it over, and then immediately grabs at Setsura's feathers. He's going to pull one for comparison if she doesn't stop him.]

Oh wow! Never had a contract do that before!

[ Her ass may be on the ground, her feathers ruffled from having been dropped in the first place, but Setsura's no less a quick little thing, especially when it comes to her feathers. She sees that hand and she knows. Her opening mouth draws into a line as she reaches to catch his wrist, knees up, heels digging into grass beneath her, and she is throwing him onto his back behind her, after which she will immediately move to crawl on top of him and sit neatly atop his chest. Her head? Lifted just so a she leans in. ]

You do not pull my feathers. Am I clear?

[There's a little oof of sound from him as he lands on his back, but he's not concerned by this sudden flurry of action.]

Come on. [He says, holding a hand up to her.]

Give it!

[ Hm. ]

After you take a bath.

They might be gone by then! [He says, trying for a feather again.]

And even if they aren't, I don't want to compare wet feathers!

You don't?

[ That's too bad because it's a softly uttered verse that leaves Setsura's mouth and there's a rush of -- is that water above them? A spiral that tugs into an oval and drops directly on top of them. The volume is no small thing. It keeps coming down while Setsura continues to sit perched on top of his chest, looking down at him.

They're going to be absolutely drenched. ]

What the hell???? [He's sputtering and flailing under her, like a very grumpy cat.]

I'm getting a divorce!

[ The water stops and she stares at him for a long moment, quiet, then -- ]

I won't give it to you.

[He flicks some water at her from the puddle under him.]

[ She shakes it off and sighs after a moment, reaching to ruffle his hair and those wet feathers in it. ]

Bath first. If I have to chase you down with a scrub brush, I will.

Well, maybe if you're involved a bath wouldn't be that bad.

[ She takes a moment to stretch with that, lifting her arms and cracking her fingers above her head, and her wings stretch as well, small things that fit her. Her arms fall back to her side easily enough and she reaches to cup her hand against his cheek. ]

I think that can be arranged.

[ She says as though she hadn't already decided to keep him good and well in her sight for a while. ]

We're bathing at my place, though. I'm not sure they'd let us in at the bath houses.

[ She wrinkles her nose at him with that, but she's smiling. ]

Taking me home already? Aren't your roommates gonna complain?

Your home is with me.

[ She leans down and brushes her nose against his before stealing a brief kiss. ]

I'm sure we'll be able to work something out.

Okay. But I want my own room!

That's fine. We've got plenty of them, but our previous house arrangements will remain the same. No but's.

[ She's going to have to hire a maid for his room and the common spaces, but she already knew that. She just has to run it past the rest of the household, which... well, she'll handle them.

She finally moves to stand and extend her hand to him. ]

You're being real nice to a guy who just got in the middle of you and your boyfriends.
