Like stop stealing peoples crops before they even have a chance to grow them. [He says, and gently flicks at one of her feathers.]

[ Oh, right. The root of all this is her recent night-time snacking, which she had been on her way to do before he'd intercepted her. She cants her head with that flick, brow quirking as she reaches for his hand.

Telling a night sparrow to stop scratching up seeds when she's feeling peckish? Under ordinary circumstances, I'd say that's laughable.

[He doesn't give her his hand, he pulls it back and reaches into his pocket and...]

There are easier ways to get seeds, Set-chan. [Is that a sunflower seed, held between pinched fingers? Just out of her reach?

[ She pauses when he pulls his hand back, canting her head curiously with his words as her lips tug to one side because she wants his hand. She was very intent about wrapping her arms around his and closing a bit of the distance between them, "was" being the keyword paired with his words and that seed. She blinks once, twice at it, focusing her keen vision on it.

A sunflower seed? She cants her head more sharply, breath hitched, glancing between that tasty little treat and Lewin's face. ]

You considered your leverage.

[ Him. The seed. That purring of hers hasn't stopped. There's something dangerously close to a clipped, curious chirp. ]

[He's caught her, catching her, there's a purr and a hint of a chirp and those bright curious eyes.]

I am a Tamer. [He says, and waits.]

As though I'd forget.

[ She lifts a hand to her hip, tossing her head and several white-tinged curls. That gaze of hers shifts between the seed and him again. ]

I'd have settled for playing with you even if you hadn't brought seeds, but since you did, I suppose I could allow myself to be swayed to those absolute terms.

[ And she's going to reach for that seed. Give it. ]

Oh? Are we playing now? [He takes a step back, keeping it out of her reach.]

[ Her eyes drop from his face to the seed between his fingers and her tail swerves behind her. ]

Aren't we?

[ That and an upturn of the corner of her mouth is all the warning he's going to get having kept his hand and that seed from her reach before she -- well, she figuratively pounces or more accurately goes to tackle him to the ground. ]

[He laughs as she pounces, and twists himself under her. He's slippery, when it comes to a grapple, good at not being right where you expect, and she's got his hand but he's moving to pin her down.]

[ She's very intent upon plucking that seed from between his fingers. That focus isn't distracted with contact, but her hands' occupation does complicate the matter of maintaining her position along with his movements. Her back finds the ground as she secures a grip on his hand.

Looking up at him, to search those blue, blue eyes, she blows a stray strand from before her own. ]

I hope you brought more than one.

Not for bad catbirds. [He says, looking down at her.]

Are you gonna behave, or do I need to tie you up and throw you over my shoulder?

I'm not a cat.

[ She quips and her left ear twitches. She tilts her head with that, grinning. ]

But [ but ] I suppose I'll behave if you keep up your end of the bargain. I wouldn't mind being over your shoulders, though.

Do you want me to call you a foxy lady instead? [He doesn't move, keeping her pinned under him for a few moments longer.]

Hm.

[ Foxy lady? No. ]

I think I'd like you to go back to the part about me being bad, actually, although that doesn't make much sense if I'm behaving.

[ Reaching to brush those bangs up so she can look him cleanly in the eyes? She is. ]

Or you could just say my name.

[Those eyes of his are blue and bright and always more than a little bit wild, always more than a little too intense. He laughs, letting her brush at those bangs.]

You're being a terrible little bird, Set-chan.

[ That's it. That's what she wanted to hear and hearing it with those eyes of his on her -- she wanted that, too. She loves that brilliant blue, that wildness, that intensity, how he says those words and her lips split in a wide grin as she reaches to loop her arms around his neck and tug him down close so she can nip at his ear. ]

Say it again.

[His grin goes a little sharper, as he lets her tug him in.]

Is that what you want? You want me to tell you you've been a bad girl? You want me to tie you up and make you apologize for stealing?

[ She turns her lips to tease his ear with the barest hint of teeth. ]

You know I won't sing that sort of song easily.

Don't worry, I know how to make little birds sing.

You're going to get ahead of us if I keep this view much longer.
